Basic information
This reading group will meet fortnightly in zoom in order to discuss David Liggins’s last book: Truth without Truths. In his book, Liggins explores the virtues of alethic nihilism, an error theory according to which there are no truths. He considers possible objections to alethic nihilism, compares it with different rival theories and defends not only its plausibility but also the way it proposes to solve the Liar paradox and paradoxes of “uncertainty” such as the open pair. In general, each meeting of the reading group will focus on a chapter of the book. (Index below)
